Your Path to Comprehensive Care Starts Here!

Good Choice Therapy (GCT) is a neuro-affirming, industry-leading allied health practice providing both face-to-face and teletherapy (online) services in speech therapy, play therapy, early childhood intervention and occupational therapy. We support clients aged 1.5 to 18 years across Melbourne, Victoria, and Adelaide, South Australia.

Our friendly and welcoming therapists are highly trained to deliver tailored, evidence-based interventions. We support clients in developing functional communication systems, building confidence and peer relationships, improving emotional regulation, and addressing sensory processing challenges.

Before commencing therapy, we conduct comprehensive assessments to understand your child’s current skills and needs. This allows us to create personalised therapy plans that help fill any developmental gaps and support meaningful progress for both new and ongoing clients

Why Speech Therapy Services are Vital?

Speech therapy plays an important role in improving pronunciation, strengthening the muscles used for speech, and supporting clear, confident communication. It can help with a wide range of concerns—from mild voice difficulties to more complex speech challenges, including those resulting from neurological conditions.
Children may benefit from speech therapy for many reasons, including hearing impairments, cognitive or developmental delays, and weak oral muscles. Early support can make a meaningful difference in helping your child communicate and connect with others.

How Early Childhood Services & Play Therapy are Helpful?

Play therapy is a gentle, child-led approach that helps children make sense of their experiences, emotions, and behaviours in a safe and supportive environment.Through early childhood services and play; children naturally develop essential life skills, including:Problem-solving, Self-expression and communication, Sequencing and organisation, Emotional processing and regulation, Attention and engagement, Independence, Imitation and learning from others, as well as Describing and commenting.
Play is how children learn best—and through guided therapy, it becomes a powerful tool for growth, connection, and confidence.

DIR Floortime – Building Connection Through Play

At GCT, we use DIR Floortime approach, a relationship-based therapy model that helps children grow through joyful, play-based interactions. “DIR” stands for Developmental, Individual Differences, and Relationship-based. The three key elements that shape every session. In each session, our therapists follow the child’s lead, join them in their interests, and use these moments to build communication, problem-solving, and emotional connection. DIR Floortime helps children develop core skills such as self-regulation, engagement, and communication in a way that feels natural and fun.Families are also guided on how to use these principles at home, helping therapy progress continue in everyday routines.
